I Wish I Were Exhibit

Using the face as a canvas, the question posed - "I wish I were" - reveals people's value, philosophy and imagination. Through make up and photography, I wish I were seeks to reveal people's inner sense of self, imagination, and creativity. And through this, we also gain a glimpse of their soul. I'm very honored to join the team holding the third exhibit of I wish I were NYC Dumbo. In this project, I was involved in art directing, graphic design, exhibit installation and photography.

Ryo Shiba, a Japanese lawyer, writer and even podcaster living in NYC. He wishes he was a diva. "Diva has everything. Diva is confident. Diva knows what she wants. Diva has her voice. Diva has style. Diva trusts herself more than anybody. Diva is honest but can be a liar, too. Diva is sometimes insecure but knows how to use it as her weapon when she's on stage. Diva loves to be the center of attention because she knows she deserves it."

This is a portrait of me. I wish I were a dream. Not bound by time, dimension or reality. Weird things can happen naturally. And when I die, I wake up...
